VIDEO: Strawberry Festival
July 14, 2009
The sun was out, the berries were plentiful and the music kept playing, making this year’s Strawberry Festival a rousing success.
The Berry Festivals continue Wednesday, July 15 with the Raspberry Festival at Red Square. Guests can enjoy refreshing raspberries while The Afrodisiacs offer a festive family atmosphere with their 70’s disco music.
Rounding out the festivals will be the Blueberry Festival on August 5. Fresh berries will be available while Lance Buller and The Monarchs bring their swing to the stage with their 1950’s big band style.
All of the berry festivals will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m. Berry treats are free with a valid PLU I.D. card, and will cost $2.50 for those without. For more information, visit the PLU Office of Summer Sessions at www.plu.edu/~summer/programs-events/home.htm
