Diversity Week 2009

PLU’s Diversity Week 2009 will be held April 27 – May 1. Sponsored by ASPLU and the Diversity Center, the week will include events to raise awareness about cultural, educational, gender, and societal issues. The schedule is as follows:
Monday, April 27: Cultural Appreciation event in CK West located in the UC. The formal opening will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the cultural runway will begin at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, April 28: Freedom of Expression in the Cave. This event, which will include Karaoke with the Stars, will begin at 9 p.m.
Wednesday, April 29: Education event in the Regency Room of the UC. Discussion of PLU’s Diversity Initiatives will begin at 6 p.m.
Thursday, April 30: Gender Equity event in the South Hall Lounge. Appetizers and engaging talk with Dr. Teresa Ciabattari will begin at 4 p.m.
Friday, May 1: Everyone is encouraged to come and support PLU’s Relay for Life, located on the PLU track.
