It’s all about Samson
April 27, 2009

For the Hebrew Idol 2009 finale there was standing room only as students presented their unique takes on Biblical stories and faculty entertained the crowd as judges dressed as Biblical themes and characters.
Three videos of updated stories from the Hebrew Bible were presented as part of Professor Tony Finitsis’ Religion 211: Religion and Literature of the Hebrew Bible.
With about 70 people in attendance, Finitsis kept the show rolling with a special comedic video feature with Moses during ‘commercial breaks’ and the assistance of PLU’s Saxophone quartette for the intro and end of the show.
Plus Moses (played by last year’s Hebrew Idol Dan Baker) made a guest appearance at the end to help present the awards.
