A taste of Hawaii at annual Luau

Pacific Lutheran University’s Hawaii Club, Na Hoaloha O Hawai`i, presents its annual spring Luau on Saturday., April 25 in the Olson Gymnasium.

The luau begins at 5 p.m.with a traditional Hawaiian dinner and live Hawaiian music by the band Smooth Remedies. The program begins at 6:00 p.m. and features current students, faculty members and children from the PLU community in a showcase of traditional and modern Hawaiian dance.

There will also be a “Made in Hawaii” store available, where guests can shop for candies, crafts and other souvenirs.

Tickets are available at the Old Main Market or during lunch and dinner hours outside the Commons. Limited reserved seating tickets are available for $18 (adults) and $14 (children). General admission seating tickets are $14 for adults; $12 for children (ages 6-12), PLU students, faculty/staff and alumni; and free for children (5 and under). Show-only tickets will be sold for $6 at the door. PLU students and employees may use Dining Dollars to purchase their tickets, and community members may also order their tickets by mail using the instructions provided on the club’s website.

Proceeds from the Luau go toward future club activities, including transportation costs for off-campus community service projects.
