33rd Annual Norwegian Heritage Festival

The 33rd Annual Norwegian Heritage Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11 in the UC Main Floor.
Admission is free.
The festival includes a variety or Norwegian dishes, as well as entertainment from local Scandinavian music groups. Vendors will be on-hand selling the best Scandinavian goods and there will be demonstrations of Norwegian arts and crafts to watch, including Hardanger embroidery.
An exciting addition this year will be the official announcement at 1:30 p.m. of the 2009 recipient of the Greater Tacoma Peace Prize.
Information tables will be staffed by friendly people who are ready to introduce visitors to the local Norwegian organizations that make this festival possible.
