Come help shape PLU’s long-range plan
March 06, 2009
The Long-Range Planning Committee has developed a draft proposal of a new long-range plan for the university. The proposal will serve as the guide for preparing the university’s next long-range plan.
Before this proposal is submitted for consideration by the Board of Regents, the Long-Range Planning Committee is asking for the assistance of the campus community in reviewing their work.
You are invited to go online to peruse “PLU 2020: A Long-Range Planning Proposal” at http://www.plu.edu/PLU2020/.
In addition to submitted feedback, there will be two all-campus meetings to discuss the draft proposal. The meetings will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 and from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 12 in UC 133.
Consider attending one of these open discussions to hear from the Long-Range Planning Committee about their work and to offer them your observations, reflections and advice on improving the long-range plan draft proposal.
The Long-Range Planning Committee is interested in receiving any comments that you may wish to offer, including your thoughts on topics such as these:
-- What has been included in the draft proposal that is particularly important to you?
-- What do you find in the draft proposal that is not important?
-- Does the draft proposal include all of the correct issues to be considered early in the planning process?
-- What are the most likely challenges and opportunities that the university will face in the next 10 years?
-- Is the proposed planning structure presented in the draft proposal sufficiently all-encompassing to cover any relevant issues?
You may submit comments in writing to PLU2020@plu.edu.
