PLU professor honored with award

Assistant Professor of English Rick Barot has been awarded a 2008 McGinnis-Ritchie Award for his nonfiction essay, “Devoted Forms: Reading George Herbert.” This honor provides Barot with a $500 cash prize.
The McGinnis-Ritchie Awards are given annually to the best fiction and nonfiction works that have been published in the Southwest Review during the previous year.
