Recently Tamara Miller-Glahn joined KPLU as the Major Gifts and Listener Relations Assistant.
Before joining KPLU she worked as a teacher in a private elementary school and middle school. Miller-Glahn also worked as an on-air TV meteorologist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental geography from Kansas State University and a B.S. in broadcast meteorology from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colo.
She belongs to the American Meteorology Society and the National Weather Association.
Miller-Glahn is married to Paul Glahn and they have three children, Joe, who is a PLU nursing student, and Elyse and Chris, who are in high school.
In her spare time she enjoys running, volunteering and fundraising for the underprivileged, as well as weight lifting and score keeping at high school girl’s lacrosse games.
She’s a daily watcher of weather and really enjoys meeting new people, learning and discovering new things on a daily basis.
