Space available for Spring Term at PLU
January 23, 2009
While the University of Washington-Seattle recently announced it is shutting its doors for Spring term applications, PLU continues to move forward with admission and enrollment for Spring 2009.
"We've been working with a good number of students who are still seeking spring enrollment and I am happy that PLU is able to offer space to these strong transfer applicants. We're open for business." said Joelle Pretty, Director of Transfer Recruitment. "Scholarships and grants are still available as well."
The economic challenges facing the region and the nation do have an impact on higher education.
"As the unemployment rate in the region increases, some students are deciding to take this time to complete their degrees or add a degree in another field or profession. In many ways, it's a great time to be a student." says Karl Stumo, VP for Admission and Enrollment Services at PLU.
Each year, PLU enrolls over 300 transfer students from Washington and the Pacific Northwest. Admission and enrollment services will continue up until the start of the Spring term, which begins on Thursday, Feb. 5. For information on transfer enrollment at PLU for the spring, please contact Joelle Pretty at 253-535-7138 or pretty@plu.edu. Or visit the PLU website at www.choose.plu.edu
