Pacific Lutheran University to host premiere screening of “Tulia, Texas”

Independent Television Service (ITVS) Community Cinema Tacoma and PLU’s MediaLab will by sponsoring a premiere viewing of the documentary, “Tulia, Texas” on Thurs, Jan. 15.
The film strives to answer two primary questions: What role does racial segregation and prejudice play in the war on drugs? And can the war on drugs be taken too far? “Tulia, Texas” will make its broadcast television debut at a later date on PBS.
This event is free and open to the public, and will include a guest speaker followed by an audience Q & A session. Anyone interested in attending should go to Room 100 of PLU’s Ingram hall on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m.
