Samuel Torvend (Religion) and Marylou Yeomans (Dining and Culinary Services) will be hosting a new Culinary Adventure Series event at 4 p.m. on Dec. 11 in the Chris Knutzen Hall – West.

The event will celebrate a Mexican folk hero and patron – Our Lady of Guadalupe – and will also discuss why Mary, the mother of Jesus, appeared as an indigenous Indian to a poor Mexican peasant.

This will be a traditional celebration of this holiday, and guests will gather together to turn masa and corn husks into tamales.
