Wells Fargo Q Club challenge raises nearly $50,000
November 25, 2008
During this year’s Wells Fargo Q Club Challenge more than $49,000 was raised in new and increased gifts and pledges from 317 households.
The effort exceeds this year’s goal of $30,000 by 63 percent - almost $20,000.
The Wells Fargo Q Club challenge was held from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 in support of PLU’s Q Club.
In addition to the almost $50,000 raised by student callers, Wells Fargo gave Q Club $15,000, bringing the total to more than $64,000.
Q Club is the annual giving program at Pacific Lutheran University. Funds given to Q Club are used during the year in which they are received to meet current needs, primarily scholarship support, for current students. Q Club is the cornerstone of fundraising at Pacific Lutheran University and sustains PLU's tradition of academic distinction.
Participating in this event, gave Wells Fargo the opportunity to directly support the educational needs of students at PLU, especially in today’s economic climate.
