MFT grad receives 2008 Master’s Thesis Award

Jennifer Davis, ’07 graduate from the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy, was awarded the 2008 Master’s Theses Award on Nov. 1 at the 66th Annual conference of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy in Memphis, Tenn.
The national award is given to recognize scholarly achievement by recent graduates whose research study related to couples and family therapy or family therapy training.
Davis’s thesis, titled “Voices of the military: Military wives’ experiences of the wartime deployment and civilians’ influences upon that experience,” dealt with the military wives experiences and how therapists should approach the many issues that face them.
