Short on cash? “Smart Commuting” could win you $2,500

October 11, 2008

Pacific Lutheran University and Pierce Transit will be conducting their campaign, “Be a Smart Commuter” Oct. 12-25. Besides the $2,500 statewide Grand Prize, participants will have the opportunity to win a weekend Getaway to the Great Wolf Lodge, a stay at the Inn at Langley with a $100 Visa gift card, a $250 Marriot Gift Card and Visa gift cards of various amounts.

Getting involved is simple. Entrants must go to http://www.pircetripscalendar.com/ and either log in or create an account. From there, all participants have to do is enter their commute trips. By using a “Commute Smart” option twice, entry into the contest is automatic.

The suggested methods of “Smart Commuting” are: carpooling, vanpooling, biking, walking, working from home, or riding the bus or train.
