Fire drills begin this week
September 19, 2008
There will be a fire/evacuation drill in PLU academic buildings the week of Sept 22-26. A building fire alarm will trigger the drill. Please read the following so that you are fully prepared.
Gather your belongings. If you have an emergency kit in your office,
take it with you. If you don’t have one, consider purchasing one at
the Garfield Book Company or learn how to make one at this Web site.
Go to the Emergency Assembly Point for the building you are in during the drill and check in with your emergency building coordinator.
Instructors who are in class during the drill should lead their class out the nearest exit and to the emergency assembly point to take roll call. Please pass roll call information on to the building coordinator, even if not complete before the drill is over.
The coordinator will release people back into the building within 15 minutes of the start of the drill.
Please contact the Emergency Programs Office at 538-6042 or Jennifer Wamboldt, Emergency Programs Coordinator, with questions.
Thanks for your participation!
