University Conference signals beginning of academic year

The Fall 2008 University Conference begins Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 8:45 a.m. in Olson Auditorium.
The conference includes the state of the university address by President Loren Anderson, a special presentation on the new general education curriculum and information regarding learning assessment.
Faculty, staff and administrators are invited to Gonyea House for the traditional “Taste of the Northwest” after Wednesday’s sessions. Access to the event is exclusively via shuttles from the Morken lot. The first shuttle boards at 4:45 p.m.
Faculty can participate in a variety of workshops taking place Sept. 3 and 4. The faculty conference sessions begin Sept. 3 in the University Center. Provost Patricia O’Connell Killen and Faculty Chair David Robbins will give an academic address Sept. 4 at 8:30 a.m. in the University Center.
