Welcome to PLU

PLU welcomed the following new employees:
Hiro Kuriowa-Lewis is assistant director of international admissions in the Office of Admission. He previously worked at Saint Martin’s University as the assistant director of study abroad. Kuriowa-Lewis holds a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Arizona. His hobbies include biking, walking in the park and ethnic restaurant hopping. He and his wife, Nathalie, have a daughter, Camille.
Jason Rimkus joined the Office of Constituent Relations as the online services coordinator. Rimkus graduated from PLU in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education with certification. This fall, he’ll also work as an assistant coach for defensive backs on the Lute football team. In his spare time, Rimkus enjoys camping, working out and riding motorcycles.
Nova Schauss was hired as an academic advisor in the academic advising office. She previously worked as an academic counselor at California Lutheran University. A 2004 PLU graduate with bachelor degrees in women’s studies and sociology, Schauss also holds a master’s degree in counseling and guidance from CLU. When not at work, she enjoys traveling internationally, re-exploring Tacoma, listening to local music and looking for the perfect cup of coffee.
