College students get free admission to Museum of Glass

The Tacoma Museum of Glass is now offering free admission to all Pierce County college students every Sunday.

At the museum, visitors can witness live glassblowing in the Hot Shop, experience a guided tour of the exhibitions, attend lectures and watch films related to the medium of glass creation, as well as participate in a hands-on art studio.

The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the third Thursdays of the month from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The museum will be closed July 4 to observe Independence Day.

Admission is free for members, $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors, military and students with a valid ID, $4 for children ages six to 12 and free for children under six. Admission is free every third Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
