A play within a play
May 09, 2008

The last main stage theater production of the season, “Noises Off,” opened May 8 and performances continue through this weekend.
Written by Tony Award-winner Michael Frayn, the comedy plays on the concept of a play within a play. The show depicts the on- and off-stage antics of the dress rehearsal and subsequent performances of the fictional play “Nothing On.” Bedlam ensues as off-stage chaos and deteriorating personal relationships affect the on-stage performance.
Jeff Clapp, head of the theater department, directs the PLU performance.
The remaining shows are May 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. and May 18 at 2 p.m. in Eastvold Auditorium. The cost is $5 for the PLU community and $8 for general admission. To reserve tickets, call the Campus Concierge at ext. 7411.
For more information, contact the School of Arts and Communication at ext. 7761 or soac@plu.edu.
