Annual luau brings island flavor to PLU

Enjoy traditional Hawaiian music, dance and food at the 11th annual PLU Luau April 19 at 5:30 p.m. in Olson Auditorium.
Hosted by the PLU Hawaii Club, Na Hoaloha ‘O Hawai’i, this year’s theme is “Mai Ka Pu’uwai,” which means “From the Heart.” The event will depict a comedic story about a dating couple who learn to the importance of unity during a Polynesian cruise.
The evening’s dinner menu includes kalua pig, white rice, macaroni salad and tossed salad. The Hawaiian Country Store will be selling a variety of items, including macadamia nuts, island candy and Hawaiian gift baskets and calendars.
Tickets are still available for the show and raffle for $5. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check during lunch and dinner in The Commons up to the day of the event.
