Puget Sound Partnership public meeting on Tuesday

The Puget Sound Partnership, charged with developing a restoration plan for Puget Sound, will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center.
The partnership’s plan is due by September, with cleanup to be completed by 2020. At the meeting, the public is invited to share their comments and concerns on about the status of Puget Sound and its greatest threats.
The Puget Sound Partnership is a community effort of citizens, governments, tribes, scientists and businesses working together to restore and protect Puget Sound. According the to the organization’s Web site, Puget Sound is ecologically delicate, and while the symptoms of trouble are not easily visible, they are undeniable and getting worse.
