Brightly colored cardboard hearts, markers and stickers were scattered across the table.
No, it wasn’t craft time at a local elementary school. It was the annual Valentine’s Day photo card-making event in the University Center foyer.
Making a card is easy. Simply pose for a photo with one of those giant cardboard hearts, wait for it to print and then go to town making a personalized card for a family member, friend or that special someone.
The card-making station will be in operation Feb. 11 to 14 from 11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
It’s free to make a card, but donations are accepted. All proceeds will benefit University Congregation’s alternative spring break trip to New Orleans, La., March 22 to 29. The trip is focused on continuing to help the individuals and communities devastated by hurricanes Katrina and Rita nearly three years ago.
Students must apply to participate in the trip. Applications are available in the Campus Ministry office, at Chapel and at University Congregation.
Contact Campus Ministry for more information at ext. 7464 of cmin@plu.edu.
