PLU Idol returns, auditions this week

The third annual PLU Idol, the Lute version of Fox’s popular singing competition “American Idol,” kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Sponsored by the Residence Hall Association, contestants compete for the title of PLU Idol on Tuesday evenings during J-Term at 7 p.m. in Lagerquist Concert Hall. The competition includes three rounds, Jan. 15, Jan. 22 and Jan. 29.
Students interested in participating need to request an audition by contacting the RHA at rha@plu.edu. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. in Lagerquist.
PLU students, faculty and staff judge the weekly competitions, choosing who continues on to the next rounds. Admission is free.
