Welcome to PLU

PLU welcomed the following new employees:

Ryan Marie Brown is the new accounts receivable specialist in the business office. Brown previously worked for Amazon’s online bookstore and is currently attending college. She enjoys art, animals, reading and hiking, and her favorite book is “Wuthering Heights.”

Natalie Hines joined the Office of Congregation Relations as the assistant to the director. She’s previously worked as a kindergarten and first grade teacher and as an office manager for a Bellevue accounting firm. Hines earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Seattle Pacific University. In her spare time, she enjoys bicycling, swimming, reading, camping, walking her three dogs and riding quads. She is married to Devon, and has a stepson, Colton, and stepdaughter, Ashlynn.

Kristin Labs is the study away advisor in the Wang Center for International Programs. She earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations from American University in Washington, D.C., and her master’s degree in international education from the School for International Training in Vermont. Labs previously worked as the director of development for Downtown Pineville, Inc., in Kentucky. A native of Apple Valley, Minn., she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading and Tai Chi.

Tina Reindl joined the alumni office as the interim programs and services coordinator. She graduated from PLU last May with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in English. As a student, Reindl worked in PLU catering, in the humanities division and as the assistant to retail operations manager in PLU Dining and Culinary Services. She has belonged to the Residence Hall Council, Psi-Chi, the Dance Ensemble and WPA.

Randall Self joined the Mail Services staff as a mail clerk. He previously worked for Day Wireless Systems at the journey-level as a communications equipment installer. He studied to become an electronic communications technician at Clover Park Technical College and is affiliated with the United States Air Force medical supply organization. In his spare time, Self enjoys collecting and listening to music, bicycling and rock climbing. He is married to Bonnie Sween, has a daughter, Alicia Baker, and two stepdaughters, Christina and Britney Sween.
