Econ department recognizes high-achieving students

The economics department recognized three outstanding economic majors with cash awards for this academic year.
Han Yao received the Cheney Award in Economics, which is granted to a junior or senior economics major who demonstrates high scholastic achievement and leadership qualities. The award included $4,000 to help Yao with tuition expenses.
Nicole DeCamp and Laurie Rogers each received the Stanley and Terryl Brue Endowed Scholarship. The merit-based award is granted to a sophomore or junior majoring in economics. DeCamp received $2,440 and Rogers received $2,441 to help with tuition expenses.
All three students will have their name inscribed on a plaque that hangs in the economics department in Xavier Hall.
