Training sessions focus on violence prevention
October 12, 2007
Human Resource Services and Campus Safety will hold two training sessions on the new University Violence Prevention Policy and report form.
The sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the University Center’s Regency Room, and Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in UC 201. Registration is not required to attend either session.
PLU’s workplace violence policy was recently revised to include a prevention emphasis and renamed the University Violence Prevention Policy. Other revisions included strengthening the reporting of potential or actual threats of acts violence.
Additionally, a new form was created to report threats or potential threat of violence on campus. It can be found on the Campus Safety Web site.
