KPLU seeks volunteers for fall pledge drive

KPLU is seeking volunteers for its 2007 Fall Pledge Drive.
The drive runs October 10 through 19. Volunteers will man the phones and accept pledges from listeners. Staff is on hand the entire time to train volunteers and answer questions.
Shifts are usually two to four hours long, and a variety of shifts are available. To view the schedule, go to the KPLU Web site and click on the “volunteer” link at the bottom of the home page. A drop-down menu displays available shifts. Volunteers may also register by calling 800-677-5758 during regular business hours.
The drive offers KPLU fans who volunteer the opportunity to meet their favorite on-air personalities, enjoy free food and coffee, and be involved in a fun, collegial atmosphere.
