New dean, reconfigured school introduced at reception

A reception for the new dean of the School of Education and Movement Studies will take place on Wednesday, June 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the foyer of the Mary Baker Russell Music Building.
Faculty and staff are invited to meet the new dean, John Lee, and celebrate the new partnership between the School of Education and the School of Physical Education.
Lee comes to PLU from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, where he was the associate dean for academic programs, budget, research and student services. Learn more about Lee here.
The School of Education and Movement Studies recently merged the School of Education with the School of Physical Education. The newly reconfigured unit will have two departments: the Department of Instructional Development and Leadership, and the Department of Movement Studies and Wellness Education.
