Spanish novelist to visit PLU

Spanish novelist, poet, short-story and travel writer José Ovejero will give a lecture titled, “El bárbaro ilustrado,” on Tuesday, April 24 at 4 p.m. in Hong International Hall.
Ovejero’s lecture will be spoken entirely in Spanish.
Overjero won the Premio Primavera de Novela for his novel “Las vidas ajenas.” His prose works, “Huir de Palermo” and “Mujeres que viajan solas,” are gaining increasing recognition both in his native Spain and abroad.
He currently resides in Brussels, where he makes a living as an interpreter and as a writer. Overjero’s visit to PLU is one stop on his Canadian and United States tour. The talk is free and open to the public.
