Cast your vote for the summer future of Faculty House
April 05, 2007
Faculty House is contemplating keeping their doors open for faculty and staff this summer due to the closure of the University Center for renovations.
Typically, Faculty House is only open while school is in session. However, many members have requested it remain open through the summer since dining options are currently limited.
The organization is conducting a survey to gauge the probable use of Faculty House during the first two terms of summer sessions from May 28 to July 6. To take the survey, visit www.plu.edu/~fachouse/survey.htm.
The house is a private association of PLU employees known as the University Scholars Association. In return for a $15 a month membership fee, members are eligible for a variety of services, including lunch daily, speakers during lunch on Wednesdays and other special events.
If the organization opts to remain open, it is possible the doors would be open to the entire campus community, said BrieAnna Bales, major gifts coordinator at KPLU and the organization’s treasurer.
To learn more, contact Bales at ext. 7266 or Dave Gunnovich, president of Faculty House at ext. 7428.
