National jazz pianist featured at “April Showers”

National recording artist Marcus Johnson and his trio will perform on Sunday, April 1 at 4 p.m. in Lagerquist Concert Hall.
The concert is part of the “April Showers at PLU” event from 2 to 6 p.m. in Lagerquist sponsored by the admission office. The event includes an informational fair featuring select academic and community-based programs for college-bound students, campus tours and a reception of appetizers and beverages.
An accomplished jazz pianist, Johnson has released eight albums, including his acclaimed 1995 debut album, “Lessons in Love.” He performs regularly at some of the world’s best jazz festivals, and he is the founder, president and CEO of the Three Keys label.
