Love songs
February 16, 2007

Bassist Clipper Anderson was one of the featured guest artists at a special Valentine's Day concert dedicated to “Composers of the Great American Songbook.”
David Joyner, PLU’s director of jazz studies, kicked off the event in the hope that it will become an annual event. Each year, the concert will feature the works of specific songwriters.
This year’s concert feature Joyner on the piano, Anderson on the bass and guest vocalists Greta Matassa and Dennis Hastings. The ensemble performed music by Johnny Mandel, Ray Noble and Bronislaw Kaper.
