Workshops teach relaxation, coping skills

Students can learn effective coping and relaxation skills at a workshop on Friday, Feb. 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Hinderlie Hall’s main lounge.
Joanne Ito, clinical psychologist in the counseling and testing department, will lead the workshop. The relaxation and coping techniques Ito teaches will help students deal with the everyday stresses faced by college students.
Additional workshops are planned through March. They include techniques for problem solving at 6 p.m. on March 8 in Pflueger Hall’s main lounge and ways to conquer test anxiety 6 p.m. on March 15 in the library’s conference room.
All the workshops are free and open to registered PLU students. For more information contact Counseling and Testing at ext. 7206.
