Honor loved ones at Lighting of Red Square
November 17, 2006
The annual Lighting of Red Square will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 5:15 p.m. The event includes a short service of carols and the lighting of the PLU Christmas tree.
From now until Nov. 29, students, faculty and staff can place a gold star on the Christmas tree in memory or in honor of a loved one. Donations will be given to Iglesia Luterana Cristo Rey's Border Immersion Program in El Paso, Texas, where Campus Ministry is going for their spring break mission trip.
The stars are available in the University Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day and after chapel services. The event is sponsored by Campus Ministry and University Congregation.
For more information, contact Elisabeth Himmelman at ext. 6180 or ehimmelman@plu.edu.
